Donghao Liu completed his bachelor degree of Engineering for the field of Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. He later attended University of Manchester where he got his master’s degree of Engineering. His project was using stabilizer to control lead iodide nanocrystals to perovskite photoactive layers for solar cells and Influence of aging on microstructure and mechanical properties of Nickle-based alloy 625.
His DPhil focuses on studying the Hydrogen in silicon solar cells. The first part of his project is studying the kinetics of Hydrogen inside the silicon solar cell and understanding the influence of hydrogen on the change of contact resistance. The second part of his project is combining the Surface Hydrogen plasma with other method to improve the properties of the silicon solar cell and studying how well SHP can work on the silicon wafers.
